Job Title: Traveling Safety Manager – Heavy Civil Construction Location: San Marcos, Texas Frequent Travel Required: Various Project Sites (Texas, Arkansas, Wisconsin, Florida etc.) We are seeking a Traveling Safety Manager to join our team. This role involves overseeing and enforcing safety protocols across multiple job sites, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, and promoting a culture of safety. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with a passion for workplace safety and a willingness to travel extensively. What You’ll Do
- Oversee and enforce safety protocols across job sites
- Ensure OSHA and site-specific compliance
- Conduct routine site safety inspections and audits
- Lead accident investigations and implement corrective actions
- Deliver effective employee safety training
- Maintain all safety-related documentation and records
- Review and approve project-specific safety plans
- Champion a culture of safety at every level
- Minimum 2 years of safety experience in construction or heavy civil
- OSHA 10 or 30-hour training
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Strong understanding of OSHA standards and construction safety practices
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
