Key Responsibilities
- Assist with sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotes, and evaluating bids for construction materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
- Generate and manage purchase orders and invoices
- Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure timely material deliveries to job sites.
- Track incoming shipments and reconcile deliveries with purchase orders.
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain up-to-date supplier records.
- Support the procurement of construction-related items including concrete, lumber, and rebar.
- Ensure all purchases align with budget constraints and project timelines.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and vendor optimization.
- Ensure compliance with procurement procedures, insurance requirements, and vendor qualifications.
- Provide administrative support to the procurement and project management teams.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of purchasing or procurement-related experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer applications
