What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cast Member position at Malco Theatres?
Box Office Cashier - They create a welcome environment for patrons. Sells tickets to movies and special events, provides movie and event information, enforces theatre admission policies. Responsible for security of cash and tickets. Maintains and cleans Box Office area.
Duties:
1. Cheerfully greets patrons.
2. Provides movie, special event, and general theatre information.
3. Accurately sells tickets, accept payments, and makes change.
4. Properly operates Point of Sale terminals and ticket printers.
5. Properly operates and effectively communicates on a two-way radio.
6. Follow MPA film rating guidelines when selling admission tickets.
7. Follows theatre policies for selling admission tickets.
8. Answers the telephone courteously and professionally.
9. Keeps box office area clean and stocked with supplies.
10. Watches for safety issues (trip hazards, suspicious persons, etc.) and reports to management.
Concession Attendant - They serves prepackaged food and drink and maintains the concession area in a sanitary condition.
Duties:
1. Provides services to customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
2. Serves food in proper pre-determined portion sizes.
3. Maintains adequate food/supplies.
4. Cleans concession, including serving area continually.
5. Uses popper to prepare popcorn as needed and attend concession equipment.
6. Cleans concession area before and after business hours.
7. Maintains the appearance of all equipment and serving counters.
8. Assures menu items are prepared in sufficient quantities to satisfy volumes.
9. Receives deliveries when assigned.
10. Performs other related duties as required.
Usher / Doorman - They collects admission tickets, directs patrons to correct auditoriums, helps maintain clean facilities such as lobbies, hallways, auditoriums, and restrooms. Greet patrons, assist patrons with general questions or refer the patron to a member of management for assistance.
Duties:
1. Provides services to customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
2. Manage crowd control and assist patrons in finding seating when necessary.
3. Cleans and inspects auditoriums
4. Assist with patrons' special needs, such as helping those with wheelchairs.
5. Maintain order and ensure adherence to safety rules.
6. Assist patrons with questions or complaints.
7. Inspect backpacks and packages when applicable.
8. Performs other related duties as required.
Malco Theatres is a movie theatre chain that has remained family owned and operated for over one hundred years. It has been led by four generations. Malco has 33 theatre locations with over 345 screens in six states (including Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri and Tennessee). Malco also operates two bowling and family entertainment centers in southern Louisiana and a bowling family entertainment center in Oxford, MS, under the brand, Premier Lanes.
