About The Role
The Machine Operator position is responsible for operating production equipment, monitoring overall product quality, and required to assist other operators when necessary.
What You'll Accomplish
- Assist in maintaining, monitoring, and controlling the finished product within the guidelines set in the product specifications.
- Report all problems and equipment issues that may inhibit production to the immediate supervisor.
- May be required to operate a lift truck, power, or air tool to accomplish designated tasks.
- Assist in troubleshooting and the overall production process.
- Work with other trades personnel and management personnel to maintain continuous plant operations/performance.
- Delegate tasks to roofing production employees.
- Provide feedback to the Supervisor.
- Ensure all product testing is done and recorded.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Assist with maintenance when necessary.
- Assist with the start-up of the Production Line.
- Regular and predictable attendance is essential in this role.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

Additional Requirements
- General knowledge of the production process and operating various types of equipment is valuable.
- Must have strong communication skills working within a diverse population.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees who are required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
