We are a world-class supplier of fabricated metal products and supply chain solutions to the OEM, transportation, agricultural, heavy construction, and electronics industries. With two locations in North America: Winnipeg MB and Valley City, ND. Malach Metal is a growing company, and we are looking to expand our team in Valley City, ND with a Shipping and Receiving Operator.
Responsibilities include:
- Receive incoming materials, components, and supplies and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect incoming shipments for visible damage and report discrepancies
- Accurately label, identify, and store materials in designated locations
- Pick, stage, and prepare materials and finished goods for shipment
- Load outgoing materials, parts, and supplies and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders
- Package products safely to prevent damage during transport
- Prepare shipping documentation and coordinate pickups with carriers
- Maintain accurate inventory records and support cycle counts
- Keep the warehouse organized, clean, and safe
- Follow all safety procedures and use material handling equipment properly
- Assemble components onto parts before packaging
- Organize and distribute parts to next department as required
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Position Requirements:
- Experience operating a forklift is required
- Math skills for order processing tasks
- Strong communication skills
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings as required for inspections
- Advanced in use of computer and programs (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Ability to work with other personnel to resolve issues
- Good organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Utilize warehouse management systems for tracking inventory movements
- Ability to plan, organize, and meet timelines
- Experience with packaging and e-commerce operations is a plus
- Walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
