MalaceHR is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager Master Plan Advisory to lead complex planning and development projects across a variety of industries. This role is ideal for an experienced architect or urban planning professional with a strong background in site planning, master planning, feasibility studies, and project management. The successful candidate will combine technical expertise, strategic thinking, and exceptional presentation skills to help clients transform concepts into successful, buildable projects.
This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week in the office, with occasional travel to client sites throughout the United States.
Key Responsibilities- Lead master planning and advisory projects from initial concept through completion across multiple market sectors, including:
- Mixed-Use Developments
- Education
- Healthcare
- Institutional
- Industrial
- Life Sciences
- Perform site assessments, feasibility studies, and due diligence for development opportunities nationwide.
- Develop 2D and 3D site layouts, density studies, and conceptual test fits using industry-standard design software.
- Prepare visually compelling presentations and planning graphics for executive leadership and clients using Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Analyze zoning requirements, land use regulations, and entitlement processes to support project planning.
- Develop implementation strategies that account for constructability, infrastructure, and long-term development goals.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, planners, and infrastructure specialists throughout project execution.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while serving as the primary point of contact for assigned projects.
- Develop project schedules, monitor milestones, identify risks, and ensure successful project delivery.
- Track project budgets and financial performance while providing accurate forecasting.
- Support business development initiatives through client presentations, proposal development, and project pursuits.
- Mentor project team members and contribute to the continued growth of the Master Plan Advisory practice.
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Urban Design, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 510 years of professional experience in architecture, master planning, urban planning, or development project management.
- Strong architectural background (interior design experience alone is not sufficient).
- Proficiency with SketchUp or AutoCAD for conceptual planning and site layouts.
- Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills with experience creating executive-level graphics and presentations.

- Strong understanding of development strategy, constructability, and implementation planning.
- Previous experience supporting business development and client presentations.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary or geographically dispersed teams.

- Standard hours: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
- Occasional early morning meetings to support East Coast clients.
- Hybrid schedule with three days per week in the office.
