Environmental Waste Technician

MalaceHR is seeking EnviromentalWaste Technician'sto work at Plantlocated inKokomo IN. These individuals will be responsible for handling solid waste at the plant.

Pay-$19.50/hour

This position required valid drivers license, background, physical and drug screen (THC included). Candidates will need to be clean shaven as well be fitted for a respirator mask.

A shift: Sunday-Tuesday and alternating Wednesdays 6am to 6:30pm
B shift: Thursday-Saturday and alternating Wednesdays 6amt o 6:30pm
C shift: Sunday-Tuesday and alternating Wednesdays 6 pm to 6:30 am
D shift: Thursday - Saturday and alternating Wednesdays 6pm to 6:30 am

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

• Collect and transport waste within plant to designated storage areas and other waste streams throughout the plant and transports to disposal container or storage room.
• Segregate, sort and package items for recycling
• Operate mobile equipment (fork trucks, pallet jacks, etc.).
• Load semi-trailers, tanks, and roll-off boxes for shipment to disposal facility.
• Perform and document daily equipment inspection prior to use.
• Perform inspections of waste storage areas, and emergency equipment, taking corrective action to eliminate deficiencies identified during the inspection.
• Operate fork truck to load/unload trucks.
• Heavy Lifting, up to 50lbs on regular basis
• Follow all plant- related safety guidelines.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma.
• One-year experience similar experience.
• Must have valid driver's license.
• Subject to background and drug screen
