Location: GAP Federal Credit Union – Inside the Altoona VA Hospital 2907 Pleasant Valley Blvd, Altoona, PA 16602

Pay Range: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM (No weekends or holidays)

About the Position

GAP Federal Credit Union is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Full-Time Bank Teller to join our small but dedicated team located inside the Altoona VA Hospital. As the main teller, you will play an essential role in providing superior service to our members and ensuring that daily transactions are handled accurately, efficiently, and with a friendly, professional attitude.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately handle cash transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and transfers
• Count and balance large sums of money in various denominations with precision
• Provide outstanding member service by responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional, courteous manner
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail and confidentiality in all transactions
• Assist with account maintenance and basic financial services as needed
• Support team members in a small, collaborative office environment

Qualifications

• Previous cash-handling experience required (banking or credit union experience preferred, but not required)
• Strong numerical accuracy and ability to confidently count large amounts of cash
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Professional demeanor and ability to work cooperatively with a small team

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly Pay: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour (based on experience)
• 401(k) match: Up to 6%
