We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor clients for or changes in condition.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs and preferences.
- Provide memory care support for clients experiencing cognitive challenges.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Support clients with mobility needs, including lifting or transferring them safely when required.
- Document client progress and report any changes in health or behavior to nursing staff or family members.
- Foster positive relationships with clients to enhance their emotional well-being and social engagement.
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving or personal care assistance is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiar with care plans is advantageous.
- Experience working in a nursing home or assisted living environment is a plus.
- A background in memory care is beneficial for supporting clients with cognitive impairments.
- Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy are essential for success in this role.
