About the Role
Reporting to the VP of Sales, you will be responsible for driving sales growth throughout your designated territory by developing new customer relationships and expanding existing accounts.
This is a true business development role. We're looking for someone who enjoys prospecting, opening doors and converting opportunities into long-term partnerships.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities across your territory
- Developing and executing territory sales plans to achieve revenue and margin targets
- Building strong relationships with rental companies, dealers and contractors with measurable sales outcomes
- Conducting product demonstrations and showcase the value of Makinex equipment in real-world applications
- Maintaining and managing sales opportunities through HubSpot CRM
- Attending industry trade shows, events and customer meetings
- Staying informed on market trends, customer needs and competitor activity
- Working collaboratively with the broader sales team to support long-term growth objectives
About You
You are a self-motivated sales professional with a proven track record of developing new business and exceeding sales targets.
You will ideally bring:
- 3 years of successful outside sales experience
- Experience within the rental equipment, construction equipment, power tools, industrial equipment or related industries
- Strong "hunter" sales capability with demonstrated success winning new accounts
- Confidence presenting and demonstrating equipment to customers
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Strong understanding of the sales cycle and pipeline management
- Experience using CRM systems (HubSpot experience highly regarded)
- A willingness to travel throughout your territory as required
- Ideally you will be based in the Dallas / Fort Worth area
