We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Freight Handler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, and moving freight safely and efficiently within a warehouse or distribution environment. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight from trucks, trailers, and containers
- Sort, stack, and organize shipments based on destination or order requirements
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified)
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies
- Label and scan freight using warehouse systems
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines
- Assist with inventory control and general warehouse tasks as needed
Requirements
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Freight Handler, Warehouse Associate, or similar role
- Forklift certification (a plus, not required)
- Familiarity with scanning devices or warehouse management systems
Pay: $25.30 - $30.50 per hour
