Role Description
This is a part-time hybrid role for an Interior Designer. The role is primarily based in Brooklyn, NY, with the flexibility to work from home when appropriate. The Interior Designer will be responsible for developing space plans, creating and reviewing construction drawings, designing interiors, and coordinating FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) specifications. This role will involve collaborating with architects, contractors, and clients to ensure the successful execution of projects while maintaining design excellence.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Space Planning and a strong understanding of Interior Design principles
- Experience in creating Construction Drawings and familiarity with Architecture-related tasks
- Knowledge of FF&E, including specification, procurement, and installation processes
- Strong proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with teams and clients
- Bachelor's degree in either Interior Design or Architecture
- Experience in luxury hospitality and development residential design is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a hybrid work environment
