What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Supervisor position at Makeready LLC?
The Kitchen Supervisor will oversee day-to-day operations within the kitchen, ensuring a smooth workflow and maintaining high standards of food preparation and safety.
Requested Tasks
- Oversee opening and closing of kitchen
- Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate daily tasks to ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Provide training and support to kitchen staff, promoting skill development and teamwork
- Assist in the development and testing of new recipes, ensuring consistency and quality in food preparation
- Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring compliance with established standards
- Assist in managing inventory and ordering kitchen supplies, ensuring all necessary ingredients are on hand
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Adhere to Makeready's Guiding Principles
- Additional duties and assignments as assigned
Requested Capabilities
- Prior experience as a Kitchen Supervisor is highly preferred, ideally in a hotel or restaurant setting
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to train and motivate team members effectively
- Property safety certifications
- Prior experience working with inventory and food costs
- Required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle/feel/work with objects & tools
- Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds related to inventory
- Must be able to adeptly smell and taste food and beverages to judge quality
- Adhere to Makeready & property policies and procedures as defined
