What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Makena Pediatrics?
We are a small pediatric practice searching for a new part-time medical assistant to join our team! Our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with children, can thrive in a fast-paced environment, and is full of energy. Additionally, the candidate must be bilingual in Mandarin or Vietnamese, and English.
This position is perfect for new college graduates or pre-health students taking a gap year seeking more experience to further their healthcare career goals. No prior experience is required as we are willing to train and offer flexible hours.
Front Office Duties:
- Insurance verification
- Answering phones
- Scheduling
- Referrals
- Translations
- Taking vitals/checking patients in
Back Office Duties:
- Administering vaccinations
- Performing hearing and vision screenings
- Performing blood and urine analyses
- Nebulizer treatments
- Nasal swabs and respiratory panels
- Scribing patient encounters
