Goals and Objectives
To deliver a safe, personable, unique fitness experience to help our members achieve their wellness goals.
Responsibilities
- Respond to all member and guest concerns in a prompt, professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain a professional work relationship with members, guests, staff and departments.
- Adhere to safety guidelines by putting away any used equipment during and after training sessions; report all unsafe/maintenance issues immediately.
- Ensure the Fitness equipment is clean, well maintained and secure.
- Adhere to fitness industry code of ethics; shall not enter into gainful employment with a member or guest (i.e. do not solicit or conduct personal business with a member or guest).
- Maintain department equipment and coordinate any needed repairs. Responsible for maintaining records for all equipment (maintenance/cleaning) and for troubleshooting maintenance issues.
- Maintain established club and departmental policies, procedures, standards and objectives
- Adhere to all Club Safety and Handbook Policies.
- All other related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
- Demonstrates respect for and appreciation of Hawaiian values, history and culture, understanding its implication in one's work, in fostering meaningful relationships, and in embracing the community served.
- CPR-AED Certification required.
- Prior experience and proven success in health, fitness and hospitality strongly preferred.
- Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests and team members.
- Knowledge of and ability to operate computer and communication platforms (i.e. Office, Jonas, & Team Up).
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays and a shift greater than eight (8) hours in length.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than four (4) hours, and lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing and pulling.
