Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for the Head of Production based in Bensalem, PA. The Head of Production will oversee all production-related operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of products. Responsibilities include production scheduling, workflow optimization, managing operations, supervising teams, and adhering to budgetary guidelines. Additionally, the Head of Production will focus on implementing processes that align with the company’s commitment to quality and innovation in golf equipment manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production operations, including CNC machining, putter assembly, sandblasting, and finishing processes
- Lead, train, and manage production staff to ensure efficiency, quality, and accountability
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet order demand and delivery timelines
- Ensure all putters meet Makefield’s quality standards prior to shipment
- Supervise order fulfillment and shipping operations, including use of ShipStation and logistics coordination
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure consistent material flow and pricing
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement process improvements for efficiency and scalability
- Maintain and oversee proper use and maintenance of CNC machines and shop equipment
- Collaborate with leadership on product development, forecasting, and operational strategy
- Ensure a safe, organized, and compliant production environment
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing, production management, or a similar leadership role
- Strong experience working with CNC machinery and machining processes
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team in a production environment
- Experience with shipping and fulfillment platforms (ShipStation or similar)
- Strong understanding of quality control standards and process optimization
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to balance hands-on work with high-level operational oversight
- Experience in golf equipment, metal fabrication, or custom manufacturing is a plus

- Ability to work on the production floor for extended periods
