ASSISTANT ORGANIZER
JOB DESCRIPTION
OVERVIEW OF ROLE
Make Space Home Organizing is seeking a hard-working and organized individual
to join their team of professional organizers.
DETAILS
● Works Closely With: Lead Organizer, Owner
● Hours: 5-25 hours/week (hours not guaranteed)
● Status: Part-Time Employee Position
● Compensation: $20-25/hour (based on experience).
COMMON TASKS
● Sorting, moving, and storing items on site as directed by a Lead Organizer.
● Grouping client possessions for editing and purging, and organizing items into
systems.
● Maintaining a tidy and professional environment during organizing or move
management jobs.
● Assisting with managing organizing supplies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
ON SITE
● Sort and tag items, creating logical groupings for client review.
● Occasionally work directly with clients to assist in editing or purging belongings.
● Dispose of trash, recycling, shredding, and donations appropriately.
● Use organizing materials to create systems for retained items.
● Collaborate with Lead Organizer to select containers and generate shopping lists.
● Label bins, boxes, containers, etc.
● Assemble small furniture items.
● Transport materials, supplies, donations, etc., as requested.
● Perform additional assignments as directed.
ADMINISTRATIVE
● Enter time into time tracking app when working.
● Maintain company scheduling program with availability.
● Review schedule daily for upcoming projects.
● Coordinate with Lead Organizer regarding pre-project assistance, project review,
and travel.
● Complete an inventory count at the end of each session.
REQUIREMENTS
● Understanding of basic organizing techniques.
● Ability to work closely with a team.
● Tech skills (smartphone, cloud-based systems).
● Ability to lift 40 pounds and climb stairs.
● Drive a car with space for donations and supplies.
● Excellent attention to detail.
● Strong communication skills.

SCHEDULE
● Part-time schedule.
● Availability to work 9am-3pm, Tuesday-Thursday.
● Hours are not guaranteed.

● Must attend scheduled Team Meetings and Training days.
