Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Wish Specialist located in Ballwin, MO. The Wish Specialist will work directly with children and families to create and coordinate the fulfillment of their personalized wishes. Responsibilities include liaising with families, volunteers, and partners to ensure a seamless and meaningful wish experience, managing logistics and timelines, overseeing budgets for individual wishes, and maintaining detailed records. Relationship-building, teamwork, and sensitivity to the emotional needs of wish families are essential aspects of this role.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with families, donors, and volunteers
- Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks, coordinate logistics, and meet deadlines
- Problem-solving skills and flexibility to address challenges effectively and ensure successful wish experiences
- Proficiency in relevant software for record keeping, scheduling, and reporting
- Experience or understanding in working with children and families, particularly in sensitive situations, is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in social work, nonprofit management, or related fields preferred
- Driver's license and access to reliable transportation required
