JOB TITLE: Donor Care Associate

Reports To: Donor Care Manager

Purpose of Position:

The Donor Care Associate is responsible for high volume data entry, gift letters, airline miles, address changes, email unsubscribes, mailing lists and assisting with keeping the donor database accurate/up-to-date.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ensures that process documentation is kept accurate, current and easily accessible/understood
• Assists in processes surrounding data entry of donors & gifts
• Oversees the data entry and processing of the daily mail log and In-Kind gifts for wishes, events, and other.
• Monitors and inventories the Toy Closet (including Donor Care toy storage unit) – processes all inbound In-kind donations into the Toy Closet
• Assists with data clean up and deduplication of accounts/contacts
• Oversees adjustments and recoding of nationally distributed gifts
• Creates and oversees all tax-acknowledgement letters for cash and in-kind gifts, including honor/memorial cards
• Deposits checks when necessary
• Regularly coordinate with Make-A-Wish America Shared Financial Services (SFS), and occasionally Make-A-Wish America Comprehensive Donor Care (CDC).
• Other duties include, but are not limited to, donor care phone calls, direct mail, national portal for online, airline miles, vehicle donations, address/email changes/unsubscribes and all outgoing receipts, gift letters, and mailing lists

Other Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assists with other development and program department activities, as assigned by Donor Care Manager
• Represents Make-A-Wish Arizona at selected events as assigned
• Performs other duties as required

Job Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skill & Ability:

· Experience in database entry and management (experience in Raiser’s Edge and/or Sales Force is preferred, but not required)

· Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access and web-based tools for research

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as the ability to manage time and adhere to deadlines

· Evidence of strong initiative, self-direction, flexibility and ability to complete tasks in a timely manner

· High level of sensitivity when dealing with confidential gifts and constituent information

· Experience in Business Process Documentation and Database Relationship Management

· Experience in working in a team setting; ability to work well with others

This position is FLSA Non-Exempt, Hourly and can be subject to overtime compensation.
