Independent Contractor Driver – Non Emergency Medical Transport

Drivers are expected to use their own reliable personal vehicle that meets Make A Way Transport’s operational, safety, and compliance requirements.
Position Overview
Make A Way Transport is seeking 1099 Drivers to support our growing non-emergency medical transportation network across Tennessee.
This is a 1099 independent contractor position designed for experienced, dependable drivers who are comfortable handling both local and regional routes and taking on additional responsibilities that support our driver network.
Compensation: $18.00/hour - Local Routes ONLY
What You'll Do
As a Local Driver, you'll do the following;
- Safely transporting passengers on local routes.
- Being available to travel throughout your assigned zones as needed.
- Providing professional, compassionate, and reliable service to every passenger.
- Supporting company initiatives and maintaining company service standards.
- Communicating promptly with dispatch and management.
- Operating independently while maintaining professionalism, punctuality, and reliability.

Minimum Requirements
To qualify, applicants must:
- Have a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Have access to a reliable personal vehicle that meets company requirements.
- Possess or obtain a valid DOT Medical Certification.
- Possess or obtain an F Endorsement, where required.
- Meet all company and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Successfully complete the required background screening and onboarding process.
- Complete required training and onboarding requirements.
- Be willing to complete the vehicle inspection process before being cleared to drive.
- Be prepared to begin driving once all required approvals and onboarding steps have been completed.
