Before and After School Program Worker

• Morning : 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM
• Afternoon : 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Total Hours: Approximately 25 hours per week

Essential Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of school-age children before and after school.
• Create a positive, welcoming, and engaging environment for all children.
• Assist students with homework and provide academic support as needed.
• Plan and lead age-appropriate games, crafts, STEM activities, and enrichment programs.
• Encourage positive behavior and reinforce classroom expectations.
• Build meaningful relationships with children and serve as a positive role model.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure children are signed in and out properly.
• Assist with transitions during arrival, dismissal, and transportation.
• Monitor children during indoor and outdoor play while ensuring a safe environment.
• Communicate professionally with parents, guardians, school staff, and fellow team members.
• Prepare and distribute snacks in accordance with program guidelines.
• Help maintain clean, organized, and inviting classrooms and activity spaces.
• Follow all MACS Childcare policies, Kentucky childcare regulations, and health and safety procedures.
• Participate in staff meetings, required trainings, and professional development opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the Before & After School Program.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with school-age children in a childcare, school, camp, or youth program.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to providing exceptional care.
• CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to pass state-required background checks.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
