What You'll Do - As a Medical Insurance Billing Specialist, you'll:

  • Submit and manage medical insurance claims
  • Follow up on unpaid insurance balances
  • Resolve claim denials and payment discrepancies
  • Post insurance and patient payments accurately
  • Analyze accounts for billing accuracy
  • Interpret insurance contracts and payer guidelines
  • Process refunds, adjustments, and corrections
  • Generate billing and collection reports
  • Work directly with providers, managers, insurance companies, and patients to resolve billing issues
  • Maintain accurate patient account documentation while ensuring HIPAA compliance

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1–3 years of experience in medical billing, insurance, revenue cycle, or healthcare operations
  • Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and medical terminology
  • Experience with EHR and practice management software
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Reliable attendance
  • Occasional Saturday availability
