We’re growing and looking for a talented Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) with a passion for pediatric care to join our team!
Position Summary
As a Pediatric EFDA, you'll play a vital role in supporting our doctors and caring for our young patients. You will be instrumental in helping children feel at ease during treatment, assisting with a variety of procedures, and ensuring our clinical spaces run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Assist pediatric dentists during a wide range of procedures, including sealants, fillings, crowns, and space maintainers
Take digital X-rays and impressions as needed
Provide clear communication and education to parents/guardians regarding home care and treatment plans
Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
Comfort and guide anxious or nervous children with patience and compassion
Accurately chart and input treatment notes using dental software
Keep clinical rooms clean, stocked, and organized
Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) Certification – Required
Radiology Certification – Required
1 year of experience in a pediatric or general dental setting preferred
Excellent communication skills with both children and parents
Ability to stay calm, positive, and patient in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Open Dental experience is a plus
CPR/BLS certification
