Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter/Builder to join our construction team. Duties
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute projects.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install various wood and metal components using hand tools and power tools for woodworking.
- Perform framing tasks including stud framing and wood construction materials installation.
- Install doors, trim, fixtures, for restoration or remodeling projects.
- Operate woodworking machines safely to create precise cuts and assemblies for residential carpentry projects.
- Conduct heavy lifting and physical tasks required for construction site work while maintaining safety protocols.
- Assist with new build and remodeling efforts such as fixture installation, door hanging, drywall finishing, and general handyman tasks.
Qualifications
- Proven construction experience with a strong background in building, carpentry and woodworking.
- Skilled in reading construction plans and interpreting technical drawings accurately.
- Proficient with hand tools and power tools used in woodworking and framing.
- Knowledge of power tool safety practices and proper handling of construction equipment.
- Experience working on construction sites.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail in all tasks.
- Familiarity with restoration industry standards or previous experience in remodeling projects is a plus.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety regulations and procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on quality craftsmanship and efficiency.
- Work well with others as a team player, and independently.
- Dependable, good attitude.
