MAK Construction and @MAK Capital are looking for a Vice President of Development & Construction to join our leadership team in Grand Forks, ND and we're ready to move fast.
This is a high-impact senior leadership role reporting directly to the GM. You'll own day-to-day construction operations across multiple divisions, drive long-term company growth, and help shape where MAK Construction and MAK Capital are headed. If you're a builder who's ready to lead at scale, this is your seat at the table.
What you'll own:
🔲 Oversee all active projects across multiple divisions and sites making sure they are on schedule, on budget, and have high customer satisfaction
🔲 Lead job cost analysis and gross margin performance on every job
🔲 Manage budgets, forecasting, and financial controls
🔲 Supervise Project Managers, Superintendents,
🔲 Drive strategic planning for productivity, efficiency, and operational growth
🔲 Review and improve SOPs across all construction delivery activities
🔲 Ensure OSHA compliance and safe work practices across all field staff
🔲 Own execution of quarterly, annual, and long-term company goals
🔲 Build and develop client relationships to grow the MAK portfolio
🔲 Direct ongoing use and improvement of Procore project management
What we're looking for:
✅ Proven experience leading multi-division or multi-site construction operations
✅ Strong financial acumen: you know job costing, budgeting, and margin management
✅ Track record of building and developing high-performing field teams
✅ Experience with project management tools (Procore a plus)
✅ A skilled communicator across crews, clients, and leadership
✅ Business development mindset: you think about growth, not just execution
✅ Culture-first leader who leads by example and holds the bar high
