Schedule: Monday-Friday: 8am-5pm
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our network infrastructure, including cloud environments and on-premises solutions. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Meraki and Fortinet systems, as well as experience in Azure and/or AWS cloud environments.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the migration from Meraki to Mako Networks firewalls across all site locations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
- Configure, monitor, and maintain network equipment including firewalls, routers, switches, and other network security devices
- Maintain strong relationships with ISPs and ensure timely escalation and resolution of service-related issues
- Architect and implement network solutions in AWS and Azure cloud environments as we consolidate our tech stack into Azure.
- Design and implement network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats
- Create and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures
- Troubleshoot complex network issues, suggest and implement appropriate solutions
- Plan and implement network infrastructure improvements to support business growth and changing requirements
- Proactively identify and address potential network vulnerabilities and performance bottlenecks
- Participate in on-call availability to provide after-hours escalation support for critical network issues as needed
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex network problems
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- We will be replacing our existing Meraki networks at the site level to Mako Networks, the candidate for this position must be able to learn the Mako solution quickly
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 3 years of experience in network administration or similar role
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLAN, VPN, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with Meraki, Cisco, and Fortinet solutions
- An understanding of Mako Networks products or demonstrated ability to quickly learn new network technologies
- Experience supporting and implementing AWS and Azure cloud network infrastructure
- Experience working with ISPs to resolve connectivity issues
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Network certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent
- Knowledge of SD-WAN implementations
- Experience with network monitoring tools
- Understanding compliance requirements related to network security (PCI DSS,
- HIPAA, etc.)
- Experience with implementing zero-trust network architecture
