We’re supporting a well-established, globally backed manufacturing business operating within the advanced materials space. The organisation has a long-standing market presence and supplies into a diverse range of industrial applications across North America and beyond.
As part of ongoing investment and operational focus, they are looking to appoint a Senior Operations Leader to take full ownership of a key manufacturing site in Florida.
This is a high-impact role with responsibility across production, maintenance, engineering, and site performance within a 24/7 continuous process environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all plant operations, including performance across output, efficiency, and reliability
- Oversee workforce planning, shift structure, and leadership development across supervisors
- Drive operational efficiency, process optimisation, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead maintenance strategy including preventive and predictive programs
- Oversee reliability engineering and external contractor activity
- Manage capital projects from concept through to commissioning
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental standards
- Own site-level budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation
- Build a strong operational culture, with a focus on accountability and performance
Background
- Proven experience within industrial or process manufacturing environments particularly those using rotary kilns
- Track record of leadership at Plant Manager or Senior Operations level
- Strong understanding of maintenance strategy and reliability principles
- Experience delivering capital projects within a live manufacturing environment
- Exposure to high-temperature, thermal, or continuous processing environments is advantageous
- Strong grounding in safety and regulatory compliance
- Demonstrated success improving operational performance and driving change
- Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related discipline preferred
