Automation Technician | Northeast Wisconsin
A well-established food manufacturing operation in the Green Bay / Kewaunee County area is looking for an experienced Automation Technician to join their night shift team. You'll be the technical backbone of the plant after hours — owning PLC troubleshooting, HMI monitoring, instrumentation calibration and electrical maintenance in a fast-paced production environment.
12-hour nights on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule.
What You'll Be Doing
- Monitoring, troubleshooting and modifying PLC and HMI systems
- Installing, testing and maintaining electrical circuits, control panels and conduit
- Calibrating instruments and plant floor equipment
- Making PLC program changes to improve production efficiency
- Resolving system faults and anomalies
- Completing work orders and maintenance documentation via CMMS
- Using electrical test equipment including Multimeters and Calibration Equipment
- Supporting operators and production teams with technical assistance
- Adhering to GMP, food safety standards and all safety protocols
What We're Looking For
- Associate's or Technical Degree in Electrical Technology or related field (equivalent experience considered)
- Minimum 1 year of automation/controls experience
- PLC troubleshooting and programming experience
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Experience wiring control panels, I/O, pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems
- Strong problem-solving ability and comfortable working independently
