Mercury Transport is looking for a qualified Class A Driver / Warehouse Associate to join our team!
This is a local, home-daily position that combines driving and warehouse work. You will transport steel materials between locations and support warehouse operations when not on deliveries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a commercial truck to transport steel products (coils, sheets, etc.)
- Secure and tarp loads using chains, straps, and racks
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections
- Maintain daily trip logs and comply with DOT regulations
- Operate forklifts and assist with loading/unloading materials
- Stock, rotate, and verify inventory
- Coordinate preventative maintenance for trucks and equipment
- Communication with management regarding deliveries and equipment
- Other job-related duties and special projects as assigned
- Five (5) years of commercial driving experience (flatbed)
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Valid DOT medical card (or ability to obtain)
- Forklift experience (1 year)
- Ability to safely secure steel loads
- Basic computer skills
- Ability and knowledge to safely and properly block brace and secure steel products
- Ability to plan and prioritize workload
- Ability to communicate with management and co-workers, and the ability to work well independently
- Operate lift trucks with ram and fork attachments
- Operate assigned equipment in a safe, effective, and efficient manner
- Work independently and as a part of a team
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience transporting steel products
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Must be able to work outside normal business hours/days as needed
- Must be able to work at outdoor locations
- Must be able to travel occasionally
- $26.50 - $35.25 per hour / based on experience
