Position Overview & About Majestic Moulding
We are hiring an experienced Trim Carpentry Subcontractors to handle the installation of interior trim elements, including interior doors, baseboards, casing, crown molding, wall paneling, and other decorative woodwork. This subcontracting relationship will be governed by a Confidentiality and Non-Compete Agreement, and candidates must agree to work exclusively for Majestic Moulding. Majestic Moulding is a leading trim carpentry company specializing in high-end interior finish work across New Jersey and New York. We are known for our commitment to precision, quality craftsmanship, and detail-driven execution. We are seeking skilled and dependable subcontractors to join our team on an exclusive and confidential basis.
Responsibilities
- Install interior doors using screws only for strength and precision
- Install all mouldings (base, casing, crown, wall paneling, etc.) using adhesive glue
- Use wood glue on all wood-to-wood seams and joints
- Follow layout drawings, scope documents, and finish specs
- Ensure all work is plumb, level, clean, and up to our standards
- Maintain a clean job site and remove debris upon completion
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in trim or finish carpentry
- OSHA 10 or 30 Certification (proof required)
- Fully licensed and insured (General Liability required; Workers' Comp if applicable)
- Own tools, reliable transportation, and strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently or lead a small crew
- Willingness to work exclusively for Majestic Moulding
- Must sign a Confidentiality and Non-Compete Agreement
- High level of professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail
Our Standards (Non-Negotiable):
- Screws must be used on all interior door installations
- Adhesive glue must be used on all moulding installations
- Wood glue must be used on all seams and joints
- Finished work must be clean, precise, and pass our internal QC inspection
Compensation
- Flat rate per project, based on the scope of work
- All pricing to be agreed upon before work begins
