As a busy and growing office, we are looking for a highly organized and professional phone scheduler to join our team and help us maintain smooth operations and deliver excellent service to our patients.
Job Description:
The Scheduler will be responsible for managing the phones and will answer all of our calls and schedule appointments as necessary. It is important that our patients are scheduled in a timely manner and that the office schedule is optimized. This role will also be responsible for managing our clinic schedule in looking to see when patients need to be rescheduled when provider schedules are shifted. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and reschedule patient appointments for routine visits, procedures, and consultations.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
- Maintain an accurate and efficient patient scheduling system.
- Ensure that all necessary patient information is gathered prior to appointments, including insurance verification and medical history.
- Coordinate with medical providers and staff to ensure proper appointment flow.
- Manage scheduling for multiple physicians and ensure that patient wait times are minimized.
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out as needed.
- Handle rescheduling, cancellations, and follow-ups with patients.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 per hour
