Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides resident care in accordance with standards of practice and within the scope of LPN license.
- Observes and reports on residents' conditions/changes and documents in accordance with facility policy and as required by DHH regulations.
- Administers medication and treatment as prescribed.
- Receives, transcribes, and executes physician orders and follows all 3rd party instructions.
- Implements and evaluates resident's plan of care upon intake, status change and every ninety (90) days.
- Invent01Y and ordering of equipment and supplies; notifies supervisor when supplies are needed.
- Ensures appropriate and timely response to resident and/or family concerns.
- Works closely with the Director of Nursing and Medical Director as needed.
- Informs CNA/PCA staff about the condition of residents and the expectations and needs for the shift.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Display dependability by being punctual and maintaining consistent attendance.
- Possess basic computer and electronic ability in order to complete the required onboarding, training and job-specific tasks.
- Ability to work closely and efficiently with other CNAs/PCAs and all Francois Bend staff.
- Clear communication and teamwork with all departments to provide well-rounded care.
Qualifications
- Must have a current, valid LPN license.
- Education and/or experience in long-term care, acute care or geriatric nursing preferred.
- Must possess the ability to follow verbal and written instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be CPR and First Aid Certified.
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check
