Responsibilities
- Safely operate various types of delivery vehicles, including box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles, adhering strictly to traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Load, unload, and handle food orders with care, practicing safe lifting techniques and manual handling practices.
- Navigate routes efficiently using mobile devices or GPS systems to ensure prompt deliveries.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions professionally, and ensuring their satisfaction upon delivery.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, complete shift reports, and document any incidents or delays promptly.
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy lifting, manual handling, and warehouse operations when loading or unloading supplies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate deliveries and report any vehicle issues or route challenges.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations is highly desirable.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations including DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting, moving boxes or pallets using equipment like pallet jacks or material handling tools.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor.
- Comfortable working independently on route while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.
- Experience operating mobile devices for navigation and communication purposes is preferred.
