Application Security Engineer
We’re looking for a kind, collaborative engineer who loves coding, learning, and mentoring. This role is hands-on with Python (plus another language), focused on code reviews, and built around empathy, teamwork, and growing together.
What You’ll Do
- Write and review code (Python another language).
- Run security assessments, penetration tests, and code audits.
- Use tools (SAST, DAST, IAST) to find and fix vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with devs and SREs to embed security into the SDLC.
- Mentor teammates and stay ahead of new threats.
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years in cybersecurity OR 7 years in software engineering with security focus.
- Strong soft skills — empathetic, collaborative, eager to learn/teach.
- Hands-on with penetration testing, cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficient in Python one other language.
- Bonus: OSCP, GPEN, or GWAPT certifications.
