What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Worker-Painting and Grounds position at Maintenance?
Reports to: Director of Maintenance
Work year: 12 months
Job Responsibilities:
- Completes general grass cutting and trimming on school district grounds.
- Works as the district’s painter during inclement weather, winter or at designated times as assigned by the maintenance director.
- Prunes trees, shrubs and other growth to improve the appearance of the campuses.
- Assists in the cleaning and maintenance of all boilers and forced air units in the district’s buildings.
- Assists with general maintenance duties as time permits.
- Reports regularly and punctually to assigned work location and notifies supervisor or designee of impending absence in a timely manner.
- Performs any other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Demonstrated knowledge in the basic techniques of maintenance, painting and general grounds-keeping.
2. A minimum of one year’s experience in general maintenance operations or a related area.
