LATCHKEY SITE COORDINATOR
JOB GOAL:
The Latchkey Coordinator shall have the general function of coordinating the operation of the site-based Latchkey Program. This shall include before and after school care during the regular school year.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent organizational skills including proficiencies in computer use and record keeping, along with strong communications and human relations skills.
- Previous experience as a childcare provider.
- Previous management experience desired, but not mandatory.
- Successful screening through the District’s Human Resources Department. Complete District employment requirements.
REPORTS TO:
Latchkey Program Coordinator
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The on-site Latchkey Coordinator will:
- Execute all program rules, regulations and established procedures.
- Communicate on a continual basis with the Program Coordinator.
- Initiate daily attendance and physically locate each child scheduled for attendance on any given day.
- Oversee and document collections and processing of all tuition fees.
- Communicate directly with parents regarding financial obligations.
- Document daily financial and attendance record keeping.
- Process attendance forms/other documentations from outside funding agencies as directed by the program coordinator.
- Actively take part in the supervision of the children.
- Follow through with behavioral issues by speaking with children, staff and parents as deemed necessary.
- Oversee the snack program.
- Manage and assign staff to groups/tasks/activities, etc.
- Implement financial penalties i.e. late payment fees and/or late pick up as directed by the program coordinator.
- Prepare and submit supply orders.
- Ensure the smooth operation of the Latchkey site and the safety of the children.
- Monitor staff absences/arrival and departure times. Report to concerns to Program Coordinator.
- In cooperation with the Program Coordinator, complete yearly staff evaluations/reviews.
- Communicate with school based administration (principal/assistant principal) when necessary.
SALARY:
Commensurate with experience and eligible for benefits.
($21.75 per hour - Final compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.)

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
10 months. Appointment by Program Coordinator. Site assignment can be changed at the discretion of the Program Coordinator.
VACATION:
There is no vacation time allotted to this position.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Administrative Personnel.
