Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, refrigeration units, kitchen equipment, and other mechanical systems to ensure continuous operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair appliances, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration), and mechanical equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
- Install new appliances and mechanical systems following manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct repairs on air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, kitchen appliances, and other mechanical components as needed.
- Operate company vehicles to transport tools, parts, or equipment to various job sites safely and efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used to ensure compliance with operational procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to diagnose complex issues and implement effective solutions promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, or mechanical systems repair.
- Knowledge of schematics, technical manuals, and troubleshooting procedures related to HVAC & appliance technology.
- Hands-on experience with appliance installation and maintenance across commercial or industrial settings.
- Mechanical knowledge necessary for diagnosing issues in complex mechanical systems and executing repairs efficiently.
- Familiarity with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) practices to optimize equipment uptime.
- Ability to operate HVAC equipment safely and effectively; certification in HVAC & R is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members.
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles in accordance with safety regulations.
- Leadership qualities that support teamwork and mentorship within the maintenance department are a plus.
