Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance, with expertise in various technical areas including commercial refrigeration, electrical systems, mechanical knowledge, and programmable logic controllers etc. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment, providing timely repairs and maintenance to enhance overall efficiency and safety.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical systems, mechanical components, and programmable logic controllers.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and troubleshoot effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Supervise junior technicians or maintenance staff as required, providing guidance and support.
- Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with staff or external vendors regarding maintenance needs.
Skills
- Proficient in working with programmable logic controllers and understanding their applications.
- Strong electrical experience with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
- Solid mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in facilities maintenance.
- Ability to read schematics accurately to assist in troubleshooting processes.
- Experience in welding techniques for various materials.
- Familiarity with CMMS for tracking maintenance activities.
- Leadership skills to supervise a team effectively while fostering a collaborative environment.
- Excellent customer service skills to address inquiries and concerns professionally.
