What are the responsibilities and job description for the New Construction Cleaner position at Maintenance Man Unlimited?
MMU is seeking a dependable and hardworking Cleaners to support construction projects throughout the Greater Seattle area. This position involves physically demanding cleaning work with high production expectations and strict quality standards.
Position Summary 70-80% Physical Cleaning & Labor
- Sweeping, mopping, and backpack vacuuming
- Interior and exterior window cleaning using squeegee equipment
- Wiping baseboards, trim, walls, fixtures, and surfaces
- Removing stickers, plastic coverings, fingerprints, and construction debris
- Dusting high and low surfaces
- Cleaning construction dust from finished spaces
- Climbing ladders and working at various heights
- Frequent kneeling, bending, reaching, twisting, lifting, and carrying cleaning equipment and water buckets
- Working on hands and knees to clean detailed areas when necessary
10% Documentation & Teamwork
- Accurately track time and work completed using company ticket systems (in English)
- Follow daily schedules and production goals established by the Lead
- Maintain strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Learn new cleaning techniques and procedures
- Work effectively as part of a team
10% Safety & Compliance
- Arrive prepared with required PPE
- Follow all company and jobsite safety requirements
- Remain aware of active construction site hazards
- Participate in safety meetings, demonstrations, and training
- Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others
Requirements
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Minimum 2 years of professional cleaning experience
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Valid Social Security card or U.S. Passport
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
