POSITION: MASTER ELECTRICIAN TRADESMAN
COMPENSATION: PER RTM BUS DRIVER/CUSTODIAL/MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT
LOCATION: DISTRICT WIDE
REPORTS TO: SUPERVISOR OF MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent; must have completed and passed
apprenticeship program or equivalent; served as journeyman in that trade for a minimum of five years.
and must have passed the Master Tradesman Test for that trade as given by a large municipality or
county agency acceptable to the school district. Valid driver’s license from state of residence.
Must be able to read and interpret operation and maintenance manuals, Knowledge and
understanding of various cleaning chemicals is necessary; ability to conduct written and oral.
instructions: ability to have a good relationship with administrators, students, staff, and the
public: sufficient strength, agility, and dexterity to perform all required tasks. Ability to
work outdoors in a variety of temperatures and conditions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear. The employee frequently must squat, stoop, or kneel, reach above the head, and reach forward. The employee continuously uses hand strength to grasp tools and climbs onto ladders. The employee will frequently bend or twist at the neck and trunk more than the average person while performing the duties of this job.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds such as a toolbox. Occasionally the employee will push/pull items such as tables, scaffolds, and cabinets. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Subject to indoor and outdoor working conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
