JOB TITLE: MAINTENANCE-SEASONAL HELP (30 hours/week)
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma preferred
- Participate in training as needed
- Good driving record
REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Buildings/Grounds or his/her designee
RECEIVES GUIDANCE FROM: Supervisor of Buildings/Grounds or his/her designee
JOB GOAL: To provide a safe, attractive, comfortable, and clean building environment
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Summer months (generally mid-April through September)
EVALUATION: Based on job performance, safety, enthusiasm and effort
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Mows and string-trims all district property as directed and necessary for a safe and attractive appearance
- Keeps building premises including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas (if elementary) neat and clean at all times
- Reports immediately to supervisor any damage to school property
- Observes all mandatory safety regulations for equipment used
- Moves furniture and equipment within buildings as directed by supervisor
- Checks equipment before each operation for mechanical defects and notifies the proper supervisor in the event of problems
- Keeps assigned equipment clean and maintained
- Makes such minor repairs as he/she is capable
- Obeys all traffic laws
- Keeps to assigned schedule
- Reports all accidents and advises about all possible safety problems
- Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor
OTHER REQUIREMENTS (Intellectual, Sensory):
- Position will occasionally require lifting 60 pounds or more
- Self-directed - can organize own time and tasks
- Ability to read and follow directions on equipment
