What are the responsibilities and job description for the Groundskeeper (Pool 2026-2027) position at MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT?

REQUIRED:
A valid Texas Driver's License and an acceptable driving record.
PREFERRED:
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma Preferred, (GED); (1) year experience in maintaining grounds.
Duties and Responsbilities:
Performs grounds maintenance with competence and thoroughness. Cuts grass using appropriate machinery and equipment, driving lawn mowers, weed eaters, small tractors and related machinery. Practices work safety procedures by wearing gloves, protective eyewear and reading container labels. Cares for district machines and equipment by checking fuel and oil levels and reporting machinery problems. Shovels, rakes, and disposes of grass, brush, and general trash. Drives District vehicles to and from work site. Follows established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties. Maintains confidentiality. Maintains a high level of ethical behavior as is expected of all District employees. Maintains professional growth by attending in-service and meetings as requested/required. Performs any other duties assigned.
