POSITION:

Custodian

RESPONSIBLE TO:

Lead Custodian/Building Principal

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Cleans lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, classrooms and stairways; Sweeps, scrubs, waxes and polishes floor; Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies; Dusts furniture and washes walls, ceiling and woodwork; Washes windows, door panels and sills; Empties wastebaskets and building trash containers; Transports trash and waste to disposal area; Replenishes bathroom supplies; Replaces light bulbs; Performs minor and routine painting; Cleans snow, trash and debris from sidewalks and outside area around the building; Notifies supervisor concerning need for major and minor repairs; Performs other routine duties.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

High School diploma or G.E.D.
