Duties
- Perform mowing, edging, trimming, and fertilizing to maintain healthy, vibrant lawns.
- Use hand tools and power tools to prune trees and shrubs, install or repair irrigation systems, and carry out landscape enhancements.
- Operate equipment such as excavators and snow plows during seasonal changes to support landscaping or snow removal tasks.
- Conduct landscape maintenance activities including planting, mulching, aerating soil, and installing hardscape features like pathways or patios.
- Assist with tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, or removal to promote safety and health of trees on the property.
- Maintain equipment through routine cleaning, inspections, and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance.
- Support construction projects related to landscaping or outdoor improvements by preparing sites and assisting with installation processes.
Experience
- Previous experience in lawn care, landscaping, or horticulture is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems related to irrigation or landscape maintenance equipment is a plus.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as excavators enhances your effectiveness on the job.
- Basic understanding of horticulture principles including plant health and soil management.
- Ability to operate snow plowing equipment during winter months for seasonal maintenance needs.
- Strong physical stamina to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions.
