Direct Care Staff Job Description

Qualification:

• Dependable transportation
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent people skills
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Current Auto Insurance
• Driver's License

General Description:

All Direct Care Staff (DCS) provide direct, hands on services to the client at their personal residence and in the community.

Responsibilities:

• Advocate for the client’s care, safety, and welfare as an active member of the treatment team of the person served.
• Document all activities through progress notes and data collection as outlined with the individual treatment plan (IPP)
• Recognize and report changes in behaviors to the appropriate Behavior Support Professional (BSP) and / or Clinical Director
• Attend and participate in regular staff trainings and scheduled meetings
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy regarding all client information
• Respect the rights of the client and the client’s family
• Complete daily documentation of all agency required material
• Complete Incident Reports in accordance with policy and procedure
• Understand and follow the agency’s chain of communication
• Work cooperatively with other team members to carry out the goals and objectives of the client
• Ensure safety and well being of the client on a daily basis
• Report any actual or suspected abuse / neglect / exploitation in accordance with policy and procedure as a Mandatory Reporter
• Other client specific duties as assigned by the supervisor
• Be able to lift 75 pounds'

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 17 – 40 per week
