Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and guidance to engineers, coordinators, operators, and all Mainstream colleagues
- Ensure compliance with all procedures and policies
- Responsible for overseeing all plant training needs
- Develop short and long-term capital forecasts
- Manage 1,3 and 5-year capital plan for area of responsibility and prioritize projects accordingly
- Ensure equipment reliability and process optimization including technical oversight and troubleshooting upsets
- Oversee process optimization and improvements to prevent upsets and future incidents
- Manage budget, productivity and costs
- Accountable for all process metric reporting
- Process optimization and growth opportunities
- Provide local planning and work closely with Supply Chain and Commercial team to ensure excellent communication and execution of shared production plans
- Work with business groups to support new product development, trials, and business growth. This includes input and contribution to the innovation pipeline including any suggestions for improving efficiency.
- Full-time position.
- Primarily day shift, with flexibility for after-hours or weekend support during incidents, audits, or inspections.
Qualifications & Skills
- BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 5 years minimum production / manufacturing experience with some managerial or leadership experience
- Experience as a production leader at multiple production facilities is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Have a continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams both internal and external
- Work performed in office, laboratory, and plant production areas
- Ability to access and inspect production equipment, including climbing ladders and working in elevated areas
- Must be able to wear required PPE and safely work around chemicals and industrial equipment
- Exposure to industrial conditions including noise, heat, and chemical odors
