What are the responsibilities and job description for the Insurance Agent (Vietnamese Speaking) position at Mainstream Insurance Agency, Inc.?
Our independent insurance agency is looking for a Vietnamese-speaking team member to help individuals and families with their auto and home insurance needs. This position combines customer service and sales, giving you the opportunity to build lasting relationships while helping customers find appropriate coverage.
NO INSURANCE EXPERIENCE NECESSARY
Insurance experience is a plus, but we welcome applicants who are personable, hardworking, diligent, and eager to learn. Previous work or other experience that demonstrates these qualities is valued.
We provide paid training and help you obtain your P&C license, including agency-paid preparation courses, study materials, exam and initial license fees, and paid study time.
Vietnamese fluency is required.
In this role, you will:
- Assist Vietnamese- and English-speaking customers by phone, email, and in person.
- Provide friendly, responsive service to existing customers and prospective clients.
- Prepare auto and home insurance quotes, explain coverage options, and help customers purchase policies that meet their needs.
- Follow up with prospective customers and identify opportunities to help existing customers with additional insurance needs.
- Support policy service requests, billing inquiries, and renewal follow-up.
- Communicate with insurance companies to obtain information and resolve customer issues.
- Maintain accurate records of customer conversations, applications, and follow-up activities.
- Work closely with teammates to provide dependable service and protect confidential customer information.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Fluent spoken Vietnamese and strong English communication skills.
- A friendly, professional approach and a genuine interest in helping customers.
- Strong listening, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to organize multiple tasks.
- Comfort using computers, email, and learning new software.
- A willingness to learn insurance products and obtain a Massachusetts P&C license with our support.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
