What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector - Rotomold position at Mainstream Engineering?
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented, motivated and reliable employee to help us staff our rotomold facility. As a Rotomold Inspector, you will inspect large-scale commercial and military rotationally-molded parts to strict dimensional, structural, and aesthetic standards.
Position Summary
- Perform inspections of molded parts, purchased parts, and finished products according to well-defined criteria using standard physical, mechanical measurements
- Evaluate mold integrity and cleanliness based on part defects
- Accurately document the results of the inspections and testing
- Maintain controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner
- Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration
- Assist in the performing and updating inspection procedures, protocol and checklists
- Assists in the definition of Critical to Quality (CTQ) characteristics
- Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action
- Work with production management to provide feedback regarding accuracy procedures
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 2 years of QA/QC experience is preferred but not required
- Manual dexterity is a requirement. You must be able to stand, kneel, squat, reach , push, pull, climb and use common hand tools and devices without restriction
- You must be able to lift 50lbs regularly
- You will be required to work in an outdoor environment
- Must have good English written and verbal communication skills
- Good analytical skills and attentiveness to detail are required
- Working knowledge of basic measurement instruments required
- Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings required
- Experience with rotomold or plastic molding processes is preferred
- Forklift certification is preferred
