Welder - Part-Time

Position Summary

The Part-Time Welder will weld military grade HVAC/R components and housings made from carbon steel, stainless steel or aluminum. This position will be responsible for the set-up and operation of welding equipment. Specific responsibilities include:

• Set-up and operate spot welder and TIG welder
• Follow engineering drawings to ensure accurately fabricated parts
• Suggest processes and operations to produce the best possible results
• Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces to ensure conformance with specifications
• Use hand and power tools to grind, shape, smooth and blend seams
• Maintain clean and safe work environment
  
  

Position Requirements

• US Citizenship required due to strict ITAR regulations
• High school diploma or Equivalency required
• 3 years of experience in TIG welding
• Candidates will be required to demonstrate their welding ability
• Must be able to read engineering drawings with knowledge of welding symbols
• Advanced math skills preferred
• Must be adaptable to changing direction and job priorities quickly
• Ability to work with limited supervision
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
