Mainstream Engineering is seeking a responsible individual to handle activities relating to the shipment and delivery of finished goods and other materials. Typical duties include:
- Assembling and packaging product orders for shipment
- Ensuring shipments are scheduled and delivered in a timely manner
- Recording all data relevant to shipments and interfacing with shipping and accounting software
- Maintaining shipping documents and data in organized manner
- Evaluating problems and making recommendations for possible corrective action
- Supporting Receiving and Inventory as needed including physical movement of raw materials and finished goods
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred
- 2 years of Shipping experience is required
- Experience with UPS or FedEx shipping software required
- Experience with LTL shipments required
- Dangerous Goods Shipping Certification DOT/IATA/IMDG preferred
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written English
- Knowledge of commonly used shipping, receiving and logistics concepts, practices and procedures used in both domestic and international freight shipments
- Excellent organization skills are required
- Good analytical skills are preferred
- Working knowledge of Sage 100 is preferred
- High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience with shipping hazardous materials helpful
- Ability to regularly lift up to 60 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
